After a summer taking it easy in the fields and in dark warehouses, Concrète returns on September 27th for a new season: still showcasing the finest electronic music acts from the area, still banging, and still free.
This month sees performances from Lancaster’s Impulse Array, and a collaboration from two of Preston’s long standing techno stalwarts, This Machine.
We’ve been wanting to put Impulse Array on for months, but with a new album out last month, the time is finally right: his brand of deepspace techno, perfectly poised somewhere between Berlin and Detroit, has been soundtracking our recent late-night drives on constant rotation. Check out his bandcamp here (and buy the album too ffs).
This Machine is a fresh collaboration between Preston born DJ/Producers Wilx and Jonny Howlett . After being heavily involved in the preston techno night Trauma , they now join forces to bring “This Machine”, a live performance of analog fatness with some surprises thrown in. You can find some older bits and DJ sets here.
As usual, it’s FREE to get in. Joe & Rob will be playing some tunes before and between acts, and The Ferret do the best burgers in Preston (and the best drinks), so get down early and have your tea first.
