Three of our favourite acts return to Concrète for the second of the year, showcasing new material for your hungry ears.
Polypores has a vinyl release in the pipeline, and he promises a set culled from the studio sessions – further digressions on his uniquely Preston take on hauntology. We can’t wait to hear the new stuff (and we can’t wait for the LP too. There’s still a few cassettes left for sale of his recent album on Concrète Tapes if you haven’t picked one up yet – future collectors items…).
Rob Hill’s ever evolving Lorentzian project will deliver a new set of deep & melodic techno which he’s just road-tested in Liverpool. No links as yet to any music (and the limited split cassingle he did with Polypores has now sold out) – we’re hoping he’ll have something to release in the next month or so though.
We’re never sure what we’ll get with Carriers – harsh acid techno, minimal ambient excursions, drone ‘n’ noise soundscapes? Whichever way, he’s always ace. Recent work on Salford’s excellent Sacred Tapes here.
From 8pm, Free in! Come.
